Just a quick note to let you know that I am still here on the web. Hopefully faster now. The last two weeks have been internet hell! I have watched MMOB grind to a near stand still and could not do a damn thing to prevent it. Page loads were averaging in excess of 30 seconds…sometimes more than a minute. So much for high speed interent. After a couple days straight with Globat’s Tech Help, I gave up. Supposedly my server was being overwhelmed by something and there seemed to be little they could do about it.
Needless to say I’m pretty disappointed with Globat. 45 days on board with them and failures that have brought MMOB to it’s knees on two separate occasions. Now I’m a newbie at web-hosting so I figured the failures had to be from me messing with the Wordpress code. NOT!! Imagine my surprise when the techs finally admitted that both problems were on there end. I’m not sure what the norm is in web hosting, but I have to believe two body blows in a month and a half is a bit on the ridiculous side.
First time shame on you…second time shame on me. Well there won’t be a third time, I switched hosts last night. I couldn’t take it anymore and if I stopped waiting for page loads, I’m certain you did too.
I’m at Hostgator now. So far so good. Fingers crossed. The site feels snappy, responds quick, the admin panel doesn’t drag….bottomline, I feel like I can breath again. Please let me know if you have any issues with the site. Thanks.
