Manage Money at The Carnival of Personal Finance

October 13th, 2008 · 4 Comments

Manage money and learn about personal finance at the 174th edition of The Carnival of Personal Finance hosted by Lisa Spinelli over at Greener Pastures.

This week’s edition features my recent article on the various roles and responsibilities that exist in the world of personal finance.

While you peruse the carnival, take some time to check out some of the individual articles from other personal finance bloggers.  I really enjoy expanding my knowledge on a subject by looking at it from the perspective of another person.

Here are several that I found interesting and that compliment my leadership approach to personal finance.  I’ve added a few comments about each article to give you a flavor of the discussion.

Money Leader:

Steve from brip blap presents 7 mistakes not to make in a crisisLeadership sometimes means staying the course and being a bastion of strength and consistency when chaos is everywhere.

Money Answer Guy from Money Answer Guy presents How to Ensure my Loved Ones Know What to do In Case of the UnexpectedThis post is similar to one I wrote not long ago about preparing your personal finances for your unexpected death.

Super Saver from My Wealth Builder presents Bear Market Survival SkillsEncouragement for your Money Leader to not have fast hands.

AJC from How to make $7 million in 7 years … no scams, no schemes! presents Show me the money! This article will show you how to select a lifestyle that you want and decide how much income you will need to support it.  If you’ve followed any of my blog roll links down the right side you’ll notice two of AJC’s blogs at the top of the roll.  His 7 Millionaires in Training web site is a great one to visit if you really want to develop your Money Leader skills.  AJC is self-made, very knowledgeable and eager to help others achieve success.  Head on over and find your life purpose so you can really begin to Lead your Money.

Money Manager:

Debt Freedom Fighter from Discover Debt Freedom presents Want to Get Your Credit Report for FreeI consider this one of many great ways to monitor your financial health.

A little hope here from nickel at FiveCentNickel, who presents Recovering From a Stock Market DeclineHere’s an investing plan during the down turn. Keep investing!

Money Handler:
Dave from Money Under 30 presents Pay Yourself First: How to Do It and Why It WorksSome good techniques here for everyone, not just the under 30 crowd.

Make sure you come back to MMOB on Wednesday 15 October 2008 when I will address several ways to outsource and automate your Money Handling tasks.

Enjoy…

@AJC - Always a pleasure to have you stop by the hallowed halls of MMOB, but you deserve the thanks. I’ve really enjoyed the 7MIT exercises and really think they are key to becoming a Money Leader. Thanks for taking the time to give of yourself and allow me to participate. Keep up the great work.

So when are we starting the air taxi service? :-)
